NETWORK SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Orbitare is seeking a Network Software Engineer with passion for Space for their office in Luxembourg. As part of the team, you will work in the development of Spaceloop, a next-generation personal satellite communication system providing a communication link between remote and internet-connected users.
As a Network Software Engineer you will work in the evolution of the code of layers 3 to 7 of the Spaceloop Engine as well as on the definition, programming and verification of different functions of the Spaceloop network management system such as the identity access management or the network monitoring and control system. Your software will be embarked in our own satellites, ground stations and the user terminals. Initially reporting to the System Engineer, in the short term you may opt to the role of Network Architect.
The position requires someone with strong engineering mindset, with sound knowledge of computer networks, capable of autonomously manage complex tasks in a teamwork approach, and with excellent programming skills in C++ and Python. You shall be motivated by working on a small, dynamic cross-functional organization, not be afraid to debate ideas openly, and be flexible enough to pivot on constantly evolving requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Excellence in C++ and Python with a minimum experience of 3 years
- Experience with parallel and concurrent programming on C++.
- Familiar with development in Linux environments for embedded systems
- Experience in microservice architecture is a plus
- Experience on CI/CD and software testing as a plus.
- Fluent in English
